Welcome to Unique Minds OT, a pediatric occupational therapy practice dedicated to helping children, teens and young adults reach their full potential. At Unique Minds OT, we take a holistic approach to occupational therapy that values connection, compassion, and the unique needs of each individual and family.

Common areas addressed in occupational therapy:


  • Fine motor skills - cutting, drawing, coloring, manipulating small objects

  • Gross motor skills - balance, coordination, throwing, catching, kicking, strength

  • Sensory processing - tolerating various sensory stimuli present in their environment (sounds, touch, clothing, smells, tastes)

  • Self-care skills -  dressing, feeding, grooming, tooth brushing, tying shoes, etc.

  •  Self-regulation/emotional regulation -managing emotional responses to changes, staying in the “just right” zone for activities

  • Visual perceptual skills

  • Executive function skills (e.g., initiating and completing tasks, attention, managing materials, organization, time management, etc.)

  • Writing skills - handwriting, idea organization, typing

  • Use of assistive technology - apps, accessibility features, digital tools, etc.

  • Social skills - making and maintaining friendships 

  • Independent living skills - shopping, cooking, managing money, digital communication, using public transportation, home management skills, etc.


How do I know what challenges are currently present for my child?

Sometimes it’s hard to tell! We would be happy to speak with you about your concerns and observations and if occupational therapy may be a fit.

Services we provide

  • Direct OT Services

    Services with the client in-person, at home, at school, or in the community. Your OT will work with you to identify the service model that will be most effective for your child that works with your schedule.

  • Consultation

    We meet with school teams, other service providers (e.g., SLPs, BCBAs, Psychologists) to provide wraparound care for clients.

  • Parent Coaching

    Perfect for families who have a busy schedule and are unable to access services at this time, but would like OT support to address challenges at home, at school or in the community. Tools and strategies are provided for trialing at home utilizing a collaborative approach.

  • Environmental Assessments

    Aligning a space with the minds that use it can have a powerful positive impact on everyday life. We optimize spaces to decrease overwhelm and stress to simplify the tasks that you do every day.
